Skating
members of MEFSC are required to have completed and signed
membership and medical release forms, copies of their insurance
card, US Figure Skating membership card and ISI membership card
(if applicable) on file.
The
EXPECTATIONS
of member skaters and families of the MEFSC are as follows:
-
Demonstration of team
support at all functions, especially competitions
-
Courtesy and muual
respect at all MEFSC ice, practice times, training sessions,
and group activities
Ten (10)
hours of Volunteer service (per family) toward activities
approved by the Board of Directors in addition to service
during competition and or event(s) sponsored by the MEFSC.
Four (4)
hours of Volunteer service (per family)
toward the
club-sponsored competitions and or events (or $40 ‘buyout’)
and donation of 2 Hospitality items (or $20 ‘buyout’) if
skater(s) participate in the event, either on an individual or
team basis.
Pay MEFSC dues based
on desired membership level.
The PURPOSE
of the MEFSC
is to:
-
Promote ISI and USFSA
figure skating in the St. Louis community;
-
Develop sportsmanship,
figure skating skills, hockey skating skills, and voluntary
participation in seasonal competitions and local shows;
-
Promote a team concept
in which all members demonstrate respect and support for all
members and other skaters.
DISCIPLINARY REVIEW:
All concerns
regarding violation of the above expectations will be submitted,
in writing, to the Board of Directors. Review by the Executive
Committee may result in the following:
-
Confirmation of
disciplinary issue with all involved parties;
-
A warning, in writing,
to parent and skater;
-
Suspension from MEFSC
ice, duration to be decided and put in writing by the
Executive Committee.
All Memberships are
subject to approval by the Board of Directors.
