 Solo Free Skate Short Program

Skaters will perform specific maneuvers to music of their own choice. Skaters must enter at the same or any higher level than their solo Free Skate event, or if a solo event is not skated, at the same or higher level than they would have been required to skate had they entered a solo event. Skaters having passed the complete USFS Pre-Preliminary test and/or ISI Free Skate 3 MUST skate at their USFS or ISI test level or higher. Skaters may not repeat jumps or spins, or include any additional jumps or spins. Deductions will be made for added, missed, or incorrect elements. Connecting footwork and choreography are encouraged. Skaters may skate less than the time allotment but not more. Well Balanced Short Program

LEVEL REQUIREMENTS Duration Minutes

Open Juvenile Skaters who have passed U.S. Figure Skating Juvenile Free Skate Test and no higher. Skaters HAVE reached the age of 13 by September 1, 2007. (Age 13 and older) Required elements: --Axel (May not be repeated in the combination) --One jump combination consisting of one single jump and one double jump or two double jumps --Solo spin – Minimum 4 revolutions in position. May not be commenced with a jump. --Spin combination with only one change of foot and one change of position. Minimum 4 revolutions each foot. --Step sequence (straight line, circular or serpentine). --Double Jump (May not be repeated in the combination) 2:00 or less

Juvenile Skaters who have passed the U.S. Figure Skating Juvenile Free Skate Test and no higher. Skaters HAVE NOT reached the age of 13 by September 1, 2007. (Under 13 years old) Required elements: --Axel (May not be repeated) --Jump combination- two single jumps or one double jump and one single jump. --Solo spin – Minimum 4 revolutions in position. May not be commenced with a jump. --Spin combination with only one change of foot and at least one change of position. Minimum 4 revolutions each foot. --Step sequence (straight line, circular or serpentine). --Solo jump - single jump, double toe-loop or double Salchow jump (may not be repeated). 2:00 or less

Intermediate Skaters who have passed the U.S. Figure Skating Intermediate Free Skate Test and no higher. Required elements as per Rule 3671 in the U.S. Figure Skating rulebook. 2:00 or less

Novice Skaters who have passed the U.S. Figure Skating Novice Free Skate Test and no higher. Required elements as per Rules 3661 and 3662 in the U.S. Figure Skating rulebook. 2:30 or less

Junior Skaters who have passed the U.S. Figure Skating Junior Free Skate Test and no higher. Required elements as per SSR Rules 3651 and 3652 in the U.S. Figure Skating rulebook. 2:50 or less

Senior Skaters who have passed the U.S. Figure Skating Senior Free Skate Test. Required elements as per Rules 3641 and 3642 in the U.S. Figure Skating rulebook. 2:50 or less
