Follow
our Saint Louis Synergy
Juvenile Team
at Nationals in
Portland Maine.

Monday, March 2
Gerry Welch, the Mayor of Webster Groves, sent a personal message to all
the members of the Metro Edge FSC congratulating us on the success of our
synchro program. She told the Juvenile team skaters good luck as
they prepare to compete in Synchro Nationals and reminded them how proud
we are that the first team to represent the State of Missouri at Nationals
is from the Webster Groves Ice Arena and Metro Edge FSC.
Tuesday, March 3
The team left bright and early this morning with a 4:30am call at
Lambert Airport. The snow has moved off the east coast, and
Portland, Maine is shoveling out of one of the largest snows this season.
Nearby airports grounded over 900 planes yesterday due to the snow, but
reports are the airports are back up and running - and the major streets
in the northeast are clear. GOOD LUCK LADIES!!
Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 4pm CST
Just received a call from Karen Rosemann. The team arrived in
Portland, Maine. They are late and hope to make some of their
practice ice.
Tuesday,
March 3, 2009 5:50pm EST From Karen
Rosemann
After traveling for 13 hours we are finally in Portland (we arrived around
3:45 pm)!! Here is the team in the airport baggage claim. The weather is
sunny but cold, the roads are clear. The delays were due to airplanes not
being on time from previous flights not weather. The girls missed their
practice ice but headed to the rink for off ice and to see what ice was
available at other times. We still hve several girls feeling poorly, but
every team we meet have similiar situations. Hopefully everyone will
feel better after some rest and another dose of antibiotics!
Reported by Karen Rosemann –
3/4/2009 at 4:45pm (CST)

Today was filled with practice, practice, practice.
The team literally had three practices. This morning the practice was at
the University of Southern Maine ice arena. They were so nice to us.
The gentleman working at the ice rink actually ran to another location on
campus to get us a case of water – what a great guy! Then the team went
to its official ice this afternoon at the Civic Center. It was great to
be on the ice and see all the stands and such.
There was a parents’ meeting at the Civic Center
about Synchronized Skating hosted by USFS.
The girls bought souvenirs –had lunch – then went
downtown for their third practice.
They are now back at the hotel, ordering pizza and
getting ready for their big day tomorrow. They are scheduled to compete
tomorrow sometime after 2pm (Eastern Time) You can watch live on
