SUMMER practice

All of our St. Louis Synergy teams above the Synchro Skills II level will have practice during the summer months. In June, a kick-off weekend will take place, involving multiple hours of practice each day. For most of May and June, each team will hold practice for several hours at least once - twice per week. In August, right before most schools start, a very important boot camp will be held during which skaters should plan to devote most of the weekend to a full agenda of skating and off-ice training. For Synchro Skills, practice will begin in late Summer. Formation does not begin practicing until October.

*        Qualifying Teams and Developmental Teams.  Practices for the Qualifying Teams and the Developmental Teams will start in June, except that there is typically a break in practices over the month of July (a good time to plan a vacation).  There will be some “boot camp” style practices in June and/or August that will involve longer hours.  We try to avoid work week hours as much as possible, but unfortunately, our schedule is dependent on ice availability.

*        Formation and Beginner.  Practices for Formation and Beginner will start in August.

*        MEFSC Skills Classes.  MEFSC typically offers additional skills classes during the summer.  These classes are optional and not included in the Synergy fees.  These classes, along with the club ice schedule, can also be found on the MEFSC website.

Various figure skating camps and synchronized skating camps are also beneficial - see some helpful links below:
