ABOUT MORGAN

Morgan has been teaching private lessons since 2014. She is an ISI WeSkate certified instructor at the Core, Intermediate and High levels. She has passed her Senior level Moves in the Field and earned her Gold Medal in Ice Dancing. Morgan has been involved with coaching the St. Louis Synergy Novice, Intermediate, Open Juvenile, Juvenile and Pre-Juvenile teams. She is also a former St. Louis Synergy Skater.


Abby Dailey

about abby

Abby started skating at age 3 and began synchronized skating at age 7. She started her synchro career with Blade Brigade and from there, joined the St. Louis Synergy Intermediate team in high school. Abby is a certified Learn To Skate USA Instructor and has been coaching group and private lessons since 2013. In 2018, Abby started coaching with St. Louis Synergy Synchro teams. She has coached the Formation and Aspire level synchro teams and presently is the head coach for the Aspire Beginner Team.

Abby is a licensed Realtor in Missouri and Illinois for The Dittamore Group of RE/MAX Alliance and a freelance video producer. She graduated from Saint Louis University in 2016 with a double major in Marketing and Entrepreneurship.

About maria

Maria has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Science and has 15 years coaching experience. In Mexico, she coached National Champions at the Pre-preliminary, Preliminary, and Intermediate levels. Maria has coached with St. Louis Synergy for 10+ years.

ABOUT KAREN

Karen has been involved in synchronized skating for 30 years as a competitor, coach and director.  Currently, she is the head coach of the Saint Louis Synergy Juvenile, Preliminary and the Aspire High teams, and she has been the Director of Synchronized Skating since 2004. She started the synchronized skating program at the Webster Ice Arena in 1996 and has coached with MEFSC ever since. She has coached teams from the Formation to Junior levels. Karen has taken Synergy teams to Nationals since 2009, where many have received medals. She has also seen many of her team skaters continue to compete on synchronized skating teams in college. Karen has attended the USFS Synchronized Coaches’ College and Training Festival since 2006.

Honors/Awards: Four-time MEFSC Coach of the Year; MEFSC Founder’s Award.

ABOUT EVELYN

Evelyn has been coaching at all levels and ages in the St. Louis area for over 15 years.  She has choreographed for Nationals skaters. In addition, Evelyn has trained with and worked under many World and International coaches. In 2008, she apprenticed under Olympic coach Tom Zakrajsek.  An accomplished skater, Evelyn has achieved Gold Freestyle, Gold MIF, Gold Adult Dance, Gold Free Dance and three International Dances.

ABOUT CHARITY

Charity has been skating since she was 3 years old, both recreationally and competitively.  In five years with Chicago Jazz, she medaled in five National Championships and competed in seven International competitions (from Croatia to Canada), including twice at the Junior World Challenge Cup. Charity has coached with MEFSC since 2004, when she came to St. Louis University to pursue a physical therapy degree. In her time here, she has coached teams at the Beginner through Masters levels. She has taken teams to Nationals at the Juvenile, Intermediate, Novice, Junior and Adult levels, and also coached her teams to Sectional medals in 2019, 2017, 2016, 2014, 2013, 2012, and 2010.

ABOUT BRIDGID

Bridgid has been teaching private lessons for 25 years. She has coached with MEFSC since 2007. Prior to coming to Webster, she was Skating/Coaching Director for the Blade Brigade Synchro Teams from 1994-2007. Coach LaMear has served as ISI District 9 Representative, Chair of the ISI Synchro Committee, and has been a presenter at the PSA and ISI National Conferences. In addition, she has served as Competition Director and Chief Referee for the Sweetheart Open, Show-Me State Games and Meet-Me in St. Louis Competitions. She is an ISI Gold Judge, Synchro Judge, and an ISI Certified Referee. She has served as a National Events Referee for ISI. Finally, she is an ISI WeSkate Certified Instructor at the Core, Intermediate and High levels. Coach LaMear serves on the MEFSC Board of Directors as one of our Coach Representatives. She also serves as a Trustee to the ISI Scholarship Committee.

ABOUT HANNAH

Hannah last competed at Worlds in 2014 as part of the Crystallettes Senior-Level Team USA. She has been skating since age 5, and skating on synchronized teams since age 9, including Brentwood, and later St. Louis Synergy through high school on the intermediate team. She went to Ann Arbor for college and made the Senior-level Crystallettes team. As part of Team USA, she traveled to and competed in Sweden, France, and Italy. They placed third at Nationals in 2013, and earned the silver medal in 2014, qualifying for Worlds in Courmayeur, Italy.

In 2014, Hannah started coaching with St. Louis Synergy Synchro teams. She has coached the Junior, Novice, Intermediate and Prelimilevel synchro teams and presently coaches the Novice and Preliminary teams. She has passed testing through Senior Moves in the field and earned her Gold medal in Ice Dance.


Ramona Peterson

Ramona is the Director of Skating Development for MEFSC, Coach of St. Louis Synergy, and a Team USA Coach. She grew up in Colorado, where she competed at the Intermediate level and performed in man Pro-Am shows directed by Carlo Fassi as part of the CO Skating Club. As a competitor, she has received Gold Medals in both Freestyle and Dance. She has tested figures, MIF, Dance, and is a USFS Gold Medalist in Dance. Ramona has extensive coaching experience at various clubs throughout the U.S. At MEFSC, she has taken teams to Nationals every year since 2009, where many teams have medaled. As a Team USA coach, she has led the Synergy Junior team as they represented the U.S. at International competitions. Ramona has coached individual skaters from Beginner through Senior levels and is a member of PSA, USFS, and ISI.

Honors/Awards: Three-time MEFSC Coach of the Year; Team USA Coach; PSA EDI Award for the Best Performance Synchronized Skating, Junior Long Program, 2014.

ABOUT MADDIE

Maddie started skating when she was 3 years old and began synchronized skating around the age of 9. Her synchro career started out with Synchro St. Louis then she went on to skate at the Collegiate level for Adrian College where she also attended school. During her time on Adrian Collegiate team, she was a two time Midwestern Sectional Medalist as well as a National Silver Medalist. Maddie has been coaching group classes for the past 5 years. In 2019, Maddie started coaching with St. Louis Synergy Synchro teams. She has coached the Aspire, Preliminary, Intermediate and Novice level synchro teams and presently coaching the Intermediate and Novice teams.

Maddie graduated from Adrian College in 2018 with a bachelor of business administration degree along with a minor in psychology. Maddie is now working at Washington University as the Advancement Coordinator within the McKelvey School of Engineering.

ABOUT JOY

Joy is an accomplished Triple Gold Medalist achieving Gold Dance, Gold MIF, Adult Gold MIF, Novice Freestyle, ISI Freestyle 8 and 4th test in School Figures. She has 30+ years experience. Joy is a former USFS Novice Ladies Regional Competitor and skated professionally for the Ice Follies/Disney on Ice. Currently, Joy is a 5 time nationally ranked triathlete qualifying again for the 2021 USAT National Championships, and therefore has an extensive background in off-ice strength and conditioning.

Jessica has coached competitive and recreational skaters for 20+ years. She has achieved her Adult Gold Dance, Novice MIF, Intermediate FS and Pre-Juvenile Pair tests with USFS. She has also participated in many ice shows, past and present, and enjoys doing choreography. Jessica continues her on-going ice training, seminars and judging.
