Competitive Youth Teams - Competitive Teams (Preliminary, Pre-Juvenile, Juvenile, Intermediate, Novice, and Junior teams) host skills clinics typically in March with auditions every April. Please contact Coach Karen Giedeman or Coach Ramona Peterson with questions.
Beginning Youth Teams - Our Synergy Formation and Aspire teams are geared towards newer skaters, with little or no synchro skating experience, ages 5 through 16. Skaters interested in joining our Formation or Aspire teams should contact Synchro@MetroEdgeFSC.org for more information as we will have opportunities for these skaters to try synchro throughout the year.
Adult Team - Adult auditions are held in April. Please contact Coach Charity Hendrickson for more information.
2024-2025 Team Audition Requirements
***Skaters must meet the requirements below (or have Synergy Director permission) in order to attend auditions for each respective synchro team.
Competitive Youth (AGE AS OF 7/1/24 for all team age requirements)
Junior 13-19 years old and passed Junior MIF
(Preferred Senior MIF, Pre-Silver Dances,
and Pre-Juvenile FS or ISI FS4/FS5)
Novice 19 years old or younger and passed Novice
MIF (Preferred Junior MIF, Bronze Dances,
and Pre-Juvenile FS or ISI FS4/FS5)
Intermediate 19 years old or younger and passed Intermediate
MIF (Preferred Novice MIF, Bronze Dances,
and Pre-Juvenile FS or ISI FS4/FS5)
Juvenile 10-13 years old and passed
Juvenile MIF (Preferred Intermediate MIF,
Pre-Bronze Dances, and ISI FS3)
Pre-Juvenile 17 years old and under,
passed Preliminary MIF, and
ISI FS2 (Preferred Pre-Juvenile MIF)
Preliminary 13 years old and under as of 7/1/22, passed
Pre-Preliminary MIF and ISI FS1
(Preferred Preliminary MIF)
Beginning Youth
Aspire Age 16 and younger, passed USFS Basic 4 or ISI Gamma
(No MIF requirement; prefer have passed pre-preliminary MIF)
Formation Age 5 and up*; passed USFS Basic 1 or ISI Pre-Alpha, Must be able to snowplow stop.
(no test requirement)
*Younger or older skaters may be considered at coach discretion
Adult Teams
Adult 18 years or older
(passed preliminary moves in the field, adult bronze moves in the field, preliminary figure or preliminary dance)
Open Masters 25 years or older
(no test requirement)
