Fantastic Showing at Fond Du Lac!
Preliminary Girls took home the gold!
Preliminary Girls took home the gold!
Congratulations to the four Synergy teams who traveled to Wisconsin, who all skated beautifully at the Foot of the Lake Competition!
Skating against eight to twelve teams in each division, the St. Louis Synergy teams all placed in the top four of their division, all receiving medals:
1st place - Preliminary
2nd place - Intermediate
3rd place - Pre-juvenile
4th place - Juvenile
Though it was bitterly cold, the girls had a great time - cheering on and saying hello to an old friend (Kam Truman), and swimming at the hotel after the competition. As always, the girls were on their best behavior, and their manners and cleanliness was praised by the hotel staff. Way to go girls! Keep up the great work at MIDS.
Also, thanks to the coaches who work so tirelessly to make the teams shine at competition!

HEROES AMONG US
Lynn Wilett
Lynn Willett
You know her as one of the most dedicated, hard-working producers behind the Nutcracker on Ice show, but our very own Lynn Willett, is also a former FBI agent whose ingenuity and skill led to the "St. Louis miracle." This year marks the 10-year anniversary of Lynn's accomplishment: she single-handedly talked the kidnapper of two Kirkwood boys into confessing and leading the FBI to his house, where the boys were rescued. We have always known she is amazing, but give her an extra pat on the back this month!

From Operation Food Search in response to our Nutcracker food drive donations:
"Our thanks to you and everyone at the Metro Edge Figure Skating Club for your food drive collection of 2944 pounds of quality food. We value these donations at $4975.36, and they represent enough to feed 736 people for one day."

During Our Holiday for Heroes Service Project, the girls made a huge stack of wonderful, hand-crafted heartfelt cards to distribute to local veterans to be distributed through the American Red Cross's St. Louis Chapter. Thanks for making the holidays extra meaningful!
Don't forget to activate your One Call Now
In order for your team to receive those valuable text messages such as, "we have just crossed the river and will be at the rink in 30 minutes," ALL of your team parents MUST opt in to receive texts from One Call Now. The synchro committee suggests that at each team's next practice, the parents/ contacts for each skater check with the team mom to make sure they are set up. In order to ensure that One Call Now can accept text messages, text the message "Alert" to 22300.
