Membership Benefits

  • Represent MEFSC at US sanctioned individual competitions, including qualifying competitions (not associate or guardian members).

  • Represent Saint Louis Synergy at US Figure Skating sanctioned synchronized skating events.

  • Represent the Webster Groves Ice Rink in ISI sanctioned events (not associate or guardian members).

  • Enjoy a full U.S. Figure Skating membership, including accident insurance and a subscription to Skating magazine.

  • Pursue testing opportunities at member rates and club recognition of tests passed.

  • Enjoy access to and priority status for MEFSC Club Ice at member rates.

  • Eligibility for MEFSC scholarships (not associate, professional, or guardian members).

  • Join with other members in our annual show, at the Icy Awards, and other club activities.

Membership Requirements

1.    Demonstrate support for the club and its members at all functions, especially competitions.  This includes abiding by the USFS Parents Code of Conduct, which may be found using the link below.  Parents failing to abide by this code of conduct may be subject to MEFSC sanctions. 

2.    Show courtesy to and respect for fellow club members and their guests at all MEFSC ice, practice times, training sessions, and group activities. 

Membership Types

Full Home Club Member: Membership for individual skaters who seek to participate in any and all disciplines of figure skating at all levels, and if under 18, membership for 1 guardian is included. Cost is $140 for 1 year. For a family with 2 or more skaters under 18, sibling home club memberships can be added for $45 each. You may participate in all MEFSC events, including Synergy, club ice, and shows (subject to meeting any separate requirements for such event). You get 1 vote on MEFSC matters per family home club member group (if you want more than 1 vote, each individual who wants a vote will need to purchase separate Full Home Club Memberships), keeping in mind that only individuals 18 or over can vote. You may apply for MEFSC scholarship.

Associate membership: Those joining at this level must be a full member of another USFS club. If the member is under 18, membership for 1 guardian is included. Cost is $100 for 1 year. For a family with 2 or more skaters under 18, sibling home club memberships can be added for $45 each. You may participate in all MEFSC events, including Synergy, club ice, and shows (subject to meeting any separate requirements for such event). You do not get voting privileges. You are not eligible for MEFSC scholarships.

Professional membership (Home and Associate):  This is a membership for coaches and other skating professionals.  Professional members must be registered professionals with USFS and meet all of the associated requirements. Cost is $75 for 1 year. Only Home Professional members are eligible for MEFSC coaching development funds.

Collegiate membership:  This membership is available to college students who wish to continue skating.  Cost is $75 for 4 years. You may participate in all MEFSC events, including Synergy, club ice, and shows (subject to meeting any separate requirements for such event). You get 1 vote on MEFSC matters. You may apply for MEFSC scholarship.

Guardian:  This membership includes a USFS membership and background check. It is ideal for parents and guardians who are active in volunteering with the club who want more than one SafeSport compliant guardian. Cost is $25 for 1 year.
